Wow what a sad story about your favorite place.
Elaine and I became concerned our favorite place was going to just disappear too so we decided to write about it and had an article published in the new York State Conservationist back in 2001. We were relieved when we spoke to the camp ranger about permission to write about the place to hear that it is a state park and will always be there. I certainly hope that is true.
By the way, we have been amazed how many people mention to us that they came to the campground because of an article in The Conservationist! We've even autographed a few copies.
YOU MUST find a new place.
